Ssetup is a very small and neat program that lets you create application installers. It is one of the smallest tools of this kind, with only 160 KB in size and a very minimalistic interface.
It can create single file distribution packages of both the EXE and ZIP formats. One of its most important advantages is the fact that it allows the users to view all the relevant information about the product that they install, such as its purpose, target directory, size on disk, version, etc.

Though very lightweight and neat, I wouldn’t say it is also easy-to-use. If I had not read the help file, I wouldn’t have guessed that in order to access the design editor I have to click a certain area of the main interface. I wouldn’t have even known there is a “design editor”. And this “design editor” is a very important tool in the installation creation process, but it isn’t any easier to understand or use. Overall, Ssetup clearly requires the users to read the help file and the readme.txt in order to be able to use it properly.

Other than that, it’s neat, free and can represent a fast and convenient solution to create installers for those who don’t mind having to deal with less intuitive tools.
